My name is Samnang Hul. You may call me Sam. I am married and I have a small family. I have grown up in the countryside and when I was sixteen years old, I came to Siem Reap to go to High School. I lived in a temple with the monks and studied English with them.
After school, I have worked in many difference jobs to earn a living. And than, at the beginning of 2006, I met the Chairwoman of the German Organisation “Children’s Dream e.V.”, Ange Dries-Behrenbeck, and she asked me if I would work together with her and help her with the education of Cambodian children.
Since then we are a very good team. She gave me the opportunity to study four years at the “Build Bright University”. I have passed my Bachelor Degree after I successefully finished my exams in English Literature.
At the “Hotelschool Paul Dubrule” in Siem Reap, I also completed a one-year “Hospitality” course.
Furthermore I have accomplished training as a guide and I have purchased my License after I finished successfully my exams in the German and the English language.
With the financial support of “Children’s Dream e.V.” and the Chairwoman, I have had the opportunity to take two intensive courses in Germany in the “Language School Colón” in Hamburg and I passed successfully.
I have acquired additional training in the fauna and flora of the Tonle Sap, the hugest lake of South-East-Asian and one of the fish richest inland waters of the world, so I can accompany you by boat to the swimming villages and bring you near to this fantastic world.
If you are interested in guidance, I would like to accompany you and to share with you my knowledge about our impressive Khmer Culture.
I am looking forward to seeing you in Siem Reap!
Your Guide Sam
